About Saleema Therapy
At Saleema Therapy, I work with conscientious Muslim women who care deeply about their faith and responsibilities, yet feel the quiet strain of trying to carry everything well.
I provide a faith-informed, culturally sensitive, and compassionate therapeutic space where you can slow down, reconnect with your intention, and move through your roles with sincerity without erasing yourself.
The Meaning Behind the Name
I chose this name intentionally because it reflects the heart of my work: helping women cultivate a qalbun saleem, a heart at peace even while carrying the responsibilities of life.
The name Saleema comes from the Quranic root Saleem, which conveys peace, wholeness, and integrity.
For me, this name reflects the deeper purpose of therapy: nurturing inner steadiness, sustaining devotion, and creating greater harmony between faith and daily life.
Who I Work With
I work best with Muslim women who are reflective, growth-oriented, and navigating life transitions such as marriage, early motherhood, or shifting family and personal roles.
You do not need to be in crisis or have everything "figured out" to begin. If you value sincerity, self-reflection, and long-term personal and spiritual growth, you are welcome here.
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both faith and psychology.
As a Muslim therapist and Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based tools, within a framework that honours Islamic values, family dynamics, and your unique cultural context.
Therapy here is about refining intention, supporting emotional regulation, and helping your striving feel purposeful and sustainable rather than heavy.
If this approach feels aligned with what you are seeking, you are welcome to take the next step.
